Vulcan owns and operates Africa's largest coalmine at Moatize. Vulcan took a challenging target of 3x increase in met coal production in 14 months, managing 17 projects. The major risks foreseen were resource and material shortages, start-and-stop execution, conflicting priorities and lack of reliable projection.
First project was delivered in 260 days, against projection of 340 days. Second project was delivered, with significantly more scope, in 135 days. Both the shutdowns for tie-ins were completed on-time.

VIBGYOR set a target of setting up 6 schools in 2019 20, against their usual 2-3 schools a year. Till June, progress was negligible and the general feeling was that none will come on time. Post-admission the due-date for next session start (April) is sacrosanct.
